Talia Farrell-Rosen
MSW, DBT Staff Therapist
(She/Her/Hers)
Talia is a recent graduate of Boston College’s Masters in Clinical Social Work program. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous work in school and behavioral health settings, where she has spent years supporting children and teens from diverse backgrounds. At GLTC, Talia provides therapy for adults and adolescents through both group and individual sessions.
At GLTC, Talia is participating in our DBT Fellowship program, led by Linehan Board of Certfication, Certified Providers. She will be completing a year of intensive DBT Training.
Talia is currently under the supervision of Lauren Barris, LCSW, a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician. During her graduate studies, Talia focused on gaining hands-on experience with Latinx communities and implementing behavioral therapies such as DBT and CBT. Her expertise includes working with individuals with autism, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation.
Talia was initially drawn to DBT due to its effectiveness, particularly with teens she worked with firsthand who struggled to cope with their emotions. As an organized individual, she values the structured and skills-based approach DBT offers. Talia enjoys working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and her practice is rooted in creating a supportive and empathetic environment for her clients.
Outside of the therapy office, as a new resident of Chicago, Talia loves exploring her new city. She enjoys taking long walks along the lakefront, discovering new neighborhoods, and taking dance classes.
