Ryan is a master’s level practitioner with years of experience providing individual and group mental health services to adolescents and adults. Ryan currently practices under the supervision of Victoria Kessinger, LCPC and Lauren Barris, LCSW- C. He is a comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy provider, delivering both individual, family and group therapy to GLTC clients.
Over the course of his career Ryan has utilized DBT and other evidence-based interventions to help individuals struggling to manage their mental health. With over six years of experience within the mental health field, he has helped people overcome difficulties with anger management, suicidal thoughts, self harm behaviors, substance abuse, impulse control, and trauma.
This continues to be the focus of his work. Ryan has a considerable history working in inpatient and residential mental health prior to joining the Great Lakes team. He has extensive experience providing comprehensive DBT services adolescents and adults and has received specialized training in the DBT Substance Use Disorders protocol. This experience helps Ryan effectively identify the client’s needs and work with the client to help them build a life worth living.
